The Republic F-84F Thunderstreak was an American-built swept-wing turbojet fighter-bomber. While an evolutionary development of the straight-wing F-84 Thunderjet, the F-84F was a new design. The RF-84F Thunderflash was a photo reconnaissance version. General Motors F-84F-35-GK Thunderstreak 51-9486 (15th TFW) flew through top of trees on approach to skip bombing target at Avon Park gunnery range Oct 1, 1962. Pilot was uninjured and landed safely at MacDill AFB. Aircraft received major damge. Now on display with city of Artesia, New Mexico |
