At sea aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) Jan. 16, 2002 -- An F/A-18 "Hornet" from the VMFA-251 "Thunderbolts" is launched from the flight deck of USS Theodore Roosevelt while the Phillips Van Almonde (F-823) from the Netherlands acts as a plane guard during flight operations. The Thunderbolts are part of Carrier Air Wing One (CVW 1) currently deployed with the nuclear powered aircraft carrier in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. |

Atlantic Ocean - An F/A-18C Hornet attached to the "Thunderbolts" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron Two Five One (VMFA-251), taxies after landing aboard the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). The Eisenhower and VMFA-251 are currently underway conducting routine carrier qualifications. |

Atlantic Ocean (May 22, 2005) - An F/A-18C Hornet, assigned to the "Thunderbolts" of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron Two Five One (VMFA-251), catches an arresting wire as it lands aboard the flight deck of USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). Eisenhower is currently underway conducting routine carrier operations with embarked Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1). |
