"Black Aces"
VFA-41

 

 

PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 5, 2007) Capt. Michael C. Manazir, commanding officer of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), lands an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Black Aces‚" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 41. Nimitz is underway off the coast of Southern California conducting sustainment training exercises.

Persian Gulf (Sept. 13, 2005) – An F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the "Black Aces" of Strike Fighter Squadron Four One (VFA-41), conducts a mission over the Persian Gulf. VFA-41 is currently embarked aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Western Pacific Ocean (Oct. 25, 2003) - An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Black Aces" of Strike Fighter Squadron Four One (VFA-41), flies over the Western Pacific Ocean during flight operations. VFA-41 is assigned to Carrier Air Wing One One (CVW-11) and is deployed with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, returning to their homeport of San Diego, Calif.
