PACIFIC OCEAN (Dec. 5, 2007) Capt. Michael C. Manazir, commanding officer of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), lands an F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Black Aces‚" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 41. Nimitz is underway off the coast of Southern California conducting sustainment training exercises. |

Persian Gulf (Sept. 13, 2005) – An F/A-18F Super Hornet, assigned to the "Black Aces" of Strike Fighter Squadron Four One (VFA-41), conducts a mission over the Persian Gulf. VFA-41 is currently embarked aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism. |

Western Pacific Ocean (Oct. 25, 2003) - An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the "Black Aces" of Strike Fighter Squadron Four One (VFA-41), flies over the Western Pacific Ocean during flight operations. VFA-41 is assigned to Carrier Air Wing One One (CVW-11) and is deployed with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, returning to their homeport of San Diego, Calif. |
