Pacific Ocean (Oct. 3, 2003) -- An F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the "Warhawks" of Strike Fighter Squadron Ninety Seven (VFA-97), patrols the skies during flight operations on USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in the Pacific Ocean. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and her embarked Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) are deployed to the western Pacific. |

Western Pacific Ocean (Oct. 26, 2003) - An F/A-18A Hornet assigned to the "Warhawks" of Strike Fighter Squadron Nine Seven (VFA-97) fly over the Western Pacific Ocean during flight operations. VFA-97 is assigned to Carrier Air Wing One One (CVW-11) and is deployed with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, returning to their homeport of San Diego, Calif. |

STRAIT OF JUAN DE FUCA (Oct. 6, 2007) - A pair of F/A-18C Hornets assigned to the "Warhawks" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 97 fly over Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) during an air demonstration for Lincoln's "Friends and Family Day Cruise." Friends and family of Sailors stationed aboard the Lincoln joined their Sailors for the ship's afternoon transit from Victoria, British Columbia to its home-port of Everett, Wash. Lincoln returned to Everett following 19 days away conducting Fleet Replacement Squadron Carrier Qualifications (FRS CQ), participating in San Diego's Sea and Air Parade, and a three-day port visit to Victoria. |
